EDUCATION
For the last few years we have been working with book shops, schools, nurseries, teachers and childminders up and down the country taking 'Book Love' The Travelling Multicultural Book Carnival on tour. If you have a space for us, we'll park right up! Recent statistics show that only 1% of main characters in childrens' books are portrayed as black, Asian and ethnic minority even though 32% of children in UK primary schools come from these ethnic groups.
'Book Love' is committed to bridging this gap and we continue to travel the country with our carnival of books, flags and music to get everyone excited about cultural heritage!
We take The Multicultural Travelling Book Carnival to schools, nurseries and colleges where in some cases over seventy languages are spoken, so we at ‘Book Love’ know firsthand the importance of inclusion and accurate cultural representation. We celebrate it and spend hours and hours sourcing the best inclusive content from around the world, to bring this wonderful diversity to life.
We help children and young adults feel good, about reading and themselves. We want our customers - big and small to be able to relate to the characters in the books and toys they have or discover new stories and places in books and toys, they’ve not yet seen before.

''There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.''
"It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength."
